Specialist in Neurology & Neurosurgery
Patrick graduated from the University of Sydney in 2002. He then completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Queensland Veterinary Specialists in Brisbane, Australia before undertaking a residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of California, Davis. Patrick was admitted to the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Neurology) and the European College of Veterinary Neurology in 2007. He was subsequently appointed as a senior lecturer and head of neurology & neurosurgery at the Royal Veterinary College in London and then an Associate Professor at the NMBU School of Veterinary Science in Oslo, Norway but has now returned to Australia.
Patrick practices and teaches all areas of clinical neurology & neurosurgery, including the diagnosis and treatment of medical and surgical neurological conditions (performing intracranial and spinal surgery). Patrick has a particular interest in developing the use of advanced imaging in planning and performing neurosurgical procedures, and developing surgical treatments for pituitary tumours in dogs and cats
